The PLAYERS Championship
The Players also has the largest payout of any tournament on tour. To look back at past champions is to look back at a Who's Who of some of the greatest golfers ever, but The Players Championship is known for one thing above anything else: the Island Green. Hole 17 at The Players, while not overly difficult in scoring, is one of the best holes in golf. It is a short par three, but it is completely surrounded by water except for the narrow walkway that allows players to walk onto the green to putt.
